This program is patterned after the National Trust for Historic Preservation's successful program that has been applied to numerous cities and towns in the United States over the past twenty years

Rosemary Powers was hired by the Salem Partnership in 2000, as Executive Director.

She was recently asked by the mayor to "bring the Main Street program to Salem"
